In fulfilling her mandate in promoting education for deaf young people, DLU organised a study tour for students and teachers of Wakiso senior secondary school for the deaf. This was aimed at promoting exposure learning to students under our literacy development programme as a way of improving learning abilities among deaf and hard of hearing students. The sights visited include: Uganda Wildlife Education Center (UWEC), Botanical gardens and Bafrica creationz Gallery- all in Entebbe.

Being the first time to go for such event for many of them, the feed back from students and teachers was overwhelming. Since the deaf learn better through visual stimuli, this exercise shall be a periodic exercise in selected schools for the deaf
