Deaf Link Uganda - Eastern

This organisation, established in 2008 aims to work with Uganda's Deaf rural communities in Eastern Uganda. Our projects are economic based to impart skills and provide income generating initiatives to Deaf people living in rural areas where poverty is highly prevalent.

Straight Talk Foundation at DLU

Straight Talk Foundation, a non government organisation works with youth to provide understanding of adolescence, sexuality and reproductive health. The foundation promotes the adoption of safer sex practices and imparts youth with life skills. During thier outreach workshops at Deaf Link Uganda, the foundation extended (for the first time) its programmes to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing youth. DLU receives their publications which we share and distribute.
